Default Does Bill Conlin always write his column while drunk?

Stumbled across this...

http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/...odern_era.html

Howard, utley , Rollins and Polonco are better than Texieria, Cano, Jeter and Arod?

whoa....

simple method using 2009 VORP (which doesnt take D into consideration)

Howard 46.6
utley 67.5
Rollins 27.8
Polonco 15.0

tex 48.7
Cano 45.6
Jeter 65.6
Arod 49.7

It is a mismatch

i know Utley is the guy on that whole list I'd want the most!

He was talking about RBI production last year.. and including Pedro Feliz (which makes his arguement worse).

To be fair to Jroll he is usually a better player than he was last year.

But yeah, half of Conlins articles are like that..

Conlin a good columnist. It's getting late in spring training. These guys are running out of things to write about.

Conlin's certainly not my cup of tea Chuck. Both as a writer and a guest on Daily News Live.

Unbearable, in both pen and person.
