![]() I realize that the inner turf has the tighter turns than the Mellon course. What are the other main differences between the two and how does the racing secretary go about determining what races are conducted on the inner and which on the Mellon?

I will say that they installed a new underground system to water the turf this year, it apparently waters beneath the grass at the roots and keep the course so green. The only problem is that by not watering on top of the course it gets super hard and speed favoring because the grass isn't soaking in water on top. We haven't had any real rain in the longest time that I can ever remember in August and thats why the course is so fast and produced such a fast time in the stakes race the other day. You wanna be on or near the lead right now and the more ground you save the better. This ain't no Euro style course right now, its very hard turf. |

5) 9,11,3. Run, don't walk, from chalk here. 6) More claimers. Toss the 4 who looks short. 2 looks solid to me. Tossing in the 8 as well. 7) NYBreds this time. 5,9. 9) NYBreds again. Where are the chicken bones when I need them? |
