Because of people's odd idol worship of Smarty Jones that year, I think Birdstone ended up as one of the mot underrated horses of the decade. His Champagne/Belmont/Travers triple was impressive, and they're right in that video, his maiden effort was very strong.

He's had a breakthrough season this year, what he will do with higher quality mares will be interesting in the future. Stamina...

He's the next AP Indy if you think about it
