Racinos are a bad thing for racing. Anyone that thinks racing will continue to recieve welfare for eternity is kidding themselves. All they do now is dilute what could be a much better product around the country. They are great for the racinos sucking in slot money and the horsemen receiving the welfare, but not so much for anyone else, particularly bettors.

With Racino revenues up sharply what has happened to the on-track handles at those venues? Is that publicaly documented anywhere?

I think all casinos will now rush to build racetracks.

just at a quick glance, they don't even include Oaklawn... I think that would make the numbers look even better.
