I think McLaughlin wanted to go to WVA, but West Point prefers the publicity of a million dollar race. If I was in that syndicate, I'd be pissed.

lol
read on bloodhorse he's in the haskell....

'Flashy Bull was third in his two starts since finishing 13th in the Derby, but has eight top 3 finishes in 12 career starts. The son of Holy Bull -- winner of the 1994 Haskell -- is trained by Kiaran McLaughlin, who won the Belmont with Jazil.

"He's run very well in most of his races," McLaughlin said. "Now we hope we get lucky on Sunday'

he was entered in both....the west virginia derby article doesn't mention him.

'Flashy Bull, owned by West Point Thoroughbreds, is cross-entered in the $1-million Haskell Invitational Handicap at Monmouth Park the same day and is expected to race there. His trainer, Kiaran McLaughlin, attended the Haskell post-position draw Thursday.'

MY BAD- i had a conversation with one of the owners and he indicated to me it was WV - i should check these things out before i post

Kiran is hot and he must think that Flashy Bull should run well in this spot and the purse $$$ is bigger.

I don't care for Santos but if the horse can run his race I would think a board hit is not out of the question
