Default 2/5: Gulfstream (5th-9th)

Hope you were more clever than I Wednesday and spread a little wider in the Gulfstream P4 nightcap. Scratches had reduced the 3x4x4x1 $48 play to a 2x4x3x1 $24 investment, and it turned out advisable to go deeper than my Wes Ward single of Little Miss Julien (4th). Using Shug's Quiet Harbor (my second choice) would have cashiered a very nice $547 quad which matched up perfectly with the $550 parlay.

Despite missing the P4 myself, there were some nice bingos along the way Wednesday. The $102.90 7th race exacta of Our Dahlia and overlaid Tailbytherail (21-1) was a big help, and it would have been a bonanza triple had True Birkin (12-1) been able to hold off Miss Blakely (13-1) for third. As it was, those that used Miss Blakely got back $1,329 ($1) and the top 4 brought back $20,191! Rolling P3's were contributed to the coffers too, with the 5th-7th ($64), 6th-8th ($72) and 7th-9th ($111).

Not a bad way to start to the week all in all, though a P4 hit would have made it an exceptional afternoon. Hope you did well! Sticking with the late GP action Thursday though Aqueduct and Santa Anita ended up with Carryovers for today

He didn't look injured and he didn't get away from the starter. It happens all the time.
