Default Woodbine Harness - 12-01-08

For those of you who can wager on Canadien harness racing, there is definitely some value in a lot of their pools. The tri's and super's are bet heavily as well as multi-race bets.

Here are some facts you need to know about WOODBINE HARNESS

Top three drivers: Waples, Zeron, and Baillargeon
Top three trainers: Mcmaster, Fellows, Baillargeon

Some of there races are 7/8 of a mile and not a full mile so ignore times in those races.

Post position does not matter much at this track. Position on the back stretch does not matter much at all either. Horses can swing 7 to 8 wide and win.

Race 1:

#1 - Thy Worthys JWL (A.Macdonald) looks like a nice play at 7-1 morning line. The knock would be never racing over the Woodbine surface.

#4 - Summerhill Abra (Waples) is going to be the definite favorite in the race, but I think there are reasons to play against her. The top being never bet anything less than 2-1 in a trot race with horses who don't like to win.

Race 2:

#2 - Itsallaboutwinning (Baillargeon) seems to be the likely winner in this field. After being very consistent around 1:54 he took a step back last race, but I think he can rebound nicely.

#7 - Mighty Me (Wassilyn) would bode my support, but I don't bet horses with inexperienced drivers. Watch the odds though, might deserve a decent show bet.

Race 3:

#10 - Always Dreaming (Waples) looks like a nice bet from the outside post. Ouellette gets off and this horse is coming back from (Lon), but I think the 1:57's she was running are good enough here.

#3 - Yazuka Hall (Ouellette) looks like a real nice longshot possibility after qualifying here a couple weeks ago. With a lifetime best of 1:54.4 over this track, watchout. That could win easy if she touches that number

If anyone is interested I will post more selections as the night goes on. Let me know if you like my harness analysis or any suggestions that can help me.

Hey friend What if the race we are betting is a 7/8 mile? And all the horses running in the race are coming out of a 7/8 mile race? Do we still ignore those times?

If "you" are handicapping yes.

Monday night has minimal thoroughbred's, so what's a couple harness pick's going to hurt.

Maybe you can't handle two different forms of the sport in one evening.

Who I am doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. What does matter around here is this that YOU posted this on Nov. 11th.

I am live in the Pick 4 also, I just forgot to put the 6 horse in my previous post. My mistake.

I appreciate the comments.

The #8 horse at 6-1 looks like good value

That is just not tolerated real well around here. I hope I have made my point and I am done harrasing you. But...just some friendly advice...next time you "accidently" leave a horse out like that...keep it to yourself, smile and enjoy the winner on your own.

Perfectly fine! You are taking that post on my first day on this web site too much too heart.

Do you think I care if you bet that ticket? (Not Really) I like to get input and criticism about my choices, but the manner in which you comment and some others do is just unfair to the newer people on this site. It's obvious that you all on here have your buddies and established relationships, but "come on". How do you ever expect newcomers to become comfortable when you rag on them for every mistake?

I post my selections and my opinions for the people who do want to help me become a better handicapper. There is no reason to make some of the comments people do on this blog.

Like I said back then, I still hit the Pick 3. I left the horse out in the Pick 4 because I didn't have my sheets in front of me and forgot that number in that leg. It was an honest mistake and it has only happened that "one" time. Check back on everything else.

What is wrong with 6-1??

You don't care if I bet that ticket?? Don't worry friend...I have never played anyone elses "tickets" on here either. I do my own work and handicapping. There are a few select others in here that I may ask their opinion...but ultimately, I play only my tickets. If I lose, I wan't it to be my fault, not someone elses.

6-1 has nothing to do with anything. I know it has only happened "one" time, but rest assured the quickest way to lose any of the credibilty you are/were trying to establish around here is to "forget" like that.

Not everyone on Derby Trail appreciates harness racing. I happen to enjoy it myself. We try and keep the harness selections in this forum here:
