Where is Storm Play ? ? One could argue he is clearly the most exciting horse "moving forward" out of this class.

This is classic.

On a serious note, one of these NY races of this ilk should really be renamed the Evening Attire.

The Discovery is a nice race, it's also the Thorograph free race of the week.
Lieutenant Ron is trying a route of ground for the first time, yet is 2-2 at Aqueduct and seems to tower...

I'll side with That's Right Officer

He is, without question, the best horse in the race. He is so amazingly fast for his body. The only question is can he get 2 turns and the distance. I am routing for him. He can go longer, without question but with the post and 2 turns coming up, it may be too much against him. But he is an extraordinary animal.

I wouldn't even need to know who you were discussing to know with 100% certainty that the horse was trained by Kiaran McLaighlin.

I hope he did something more than say hi to you once ( or twice ) to have earned this undying loyalty.

You just have to pounce on anything or anyone you see who has a passion for the sport even if they do enjoy handicapping a race. My "undying loyalty" got me the exacta and tri in the race that the horse I have "undying loyalty" for ran out of the money. I said that I thought it might be too much to overcome, AS I HAD SAID. However, I did not like how flat he was in the stretch running fractions that he easily runs in works. Maybe he does have distance limitations but it seems to me that he may have something going on or it was an off day.
As for my familiarity with Kiaran's horses, he happens to be an excellent trainer but I am more familiar with his operation out of Belmont. And yes he has said hi more than once or twice.
You CAN be a decent handicapper AND be a fan of certain horses or trainers. It is more difficult to ensure you are objective, but it certainly makes the whole experience more enjoyable.
Now for the rest of you, was everything spelled to your liking?

You're right.....I need to learn to be more insanely self-righteous. I'll work on that.

Thanks, I've learned another way to redboard.
Tell how much I love a horse, then tell how I crushed the race after I threw him out.

Look I'm not getting into a whole thing here. I just wanted to be clear where I was coming from. That's all.

Here we go.....................read my post about the horse. Then see if I really was totally endorsing him in that race. If you disagree, fine. I only spoke of hitting the exacta/tri to support my point to Andy. That's all. Make of it what you will.
