Default Why THE **** does EQUIBASE need to BREAK BALLS?

Equibase offers FREE PDF RESULTS charts. Key term here is 'FREE'!!!

I play multiple tracks and have written a download program to get these charts. HOWEVER, Equibase limits the number of charts I can download at a given time (sometimes this runs over a 24 hour period) to FIVE.

WHY? What in the world could I possibly be doing with these charts? they're ENCRYPTED? If they're FREE, why can't I download the 8 or 10 I need each day and not get my balls broken? If they don't want large downloads of their FREE data THEN DON'T OFFER IT FOR FREE.

I mean, I understand that EQUIBASE wants me (and others) to BUY DATA. I'm in for that; right after their data becomes a little bit less FLAWED.

What else is there to say but BLOW ME EQUIBASE.

You could just modify your program to download five, then sign in with another account, and download the rest.

Doesn't work that way. There's no sign in. This relates to the point during a manual download where you need to type in the numbers that they post on the screen (the bot check).

Isn't this essentially the dynamic that led to that massive legal action you showed me a couple years back. I am sure you have the link to the story somewhere in your racing library....

Anytime you use something that the racing information giants (DRF,Equibase)
provide for free to the public that either 1) turns a potential profit said mega corp is getting none of 2) Is being sold for potential profit that is dependent on the accuracy of their product (e.g. charts)

The big boys don't want you making a business out of their business without you paying a vig so to speak. It's always about the Benjammins!!!!!

Never understood why most of this information is not free to begin with. I'm all for charging for the PP's but make all the other crap free.

Greed. Pure and simple.

Won't be long until someone is able to charge you for the air you're breathing.

So, max out your five, and then try again using a proxy server.

I like to show I'm from either Turkey or China, when needed

I use a proxy all the time. Doubt that changing proxies would work, as I have a dynamic IP and disconnecting and then connecting again doesn't work. I suspect they're monitoring by host name and not IP number. Sometimes they let it go, others, they shut me out for 24 hours at a time (as is the case presently). Of course, I can always download the files manually (which is what they want).

What boggles the mind is that these ****ers are going to these lengths to protect their FREE RESULT CHARTS. One would think they'd be more concerned with making these charts (and their data in general) MORE accurate. We'd all PAY for accurate data (like that put out by Trakus).

Awww, come on guys, it's so simple. Maybe you need a refresher course. It's all ball bearings nowadays. Now you prepare that Fetzer valve with some 3-in-1 oil and some gauze pads.
