Default Omg...

Did anybody catch the Washington QB running for a score with less than 10 seconds left and launch the ball in the air.....tweeeeeeeeet....excessive celebration?

Kicker attempts the 35yd extra point.....blocked. BYU wins by one.

Oh my God. Dude needs to be on suicide watch tonight. He played absolutely great in the final drive (ran for a 1st down on 4th and 10), only to toss it away. Literally.

They will not be the same without Rich Rod. Promoting from within was a bad move.

btw, USF rolls to an easy score first time with the ball.....and UCF answers....

Excessive celebration penalties. Just another reason to never give a crap about college football.

pros have those stupid rules as well. people pay a lot of money to go to a game and get entertained. excess celebrations after a score shouldn't be flagged. so what if the other teams' widdle feewings are hurt. don't want to see them gloat, keep them out of the endzone!!
now...when a big fat d-lineman gets in the pocket and sticks the qb, i'd just as soon not see all the stomping and fist pumping-why don't they get flagged as well??? no consistency.

and its not really changed the excitement.

For a ref to throw a flag for a judgement call like that in a one point game is ridiculous. It is not fair that he cost those kids a shot at that game. People watch and go to the games to see the players and not the zebras. They should have gotten away with anything short of the entire team break dancing in the endzone. It is such a game of emotion, and when you make such a big play you should be able to get excited. If they were up thirty then I could maybe understand a flag (personally I think they should do whatever they want). But in a close game the refs should be more concerned with the real penalties (which I am sure that there were a few missed ones) and leave the flags in the pockets for the phantom ones!

Bama 13-tulane 3. Bama scores on punt return for TD and blocked punt for TD. Bama, 2 starting OL hurt and the kicker got knocked out.

If he missed the 35 yard extra point by going left or right, then I could see worrying about this, but they blocked it. They could of blocked it from closer in. Why do people keep saying it determined the outcome of the game?

Texas has beaten two excessively bad teams.
Hopefully Arkansas is really that bad cause Texas
aint that good.

Oklahoma, Missouri, Texas Tech, Kansas all have the capability of
scorching our all Freshman secondary. Honestly, is there any other
team in the country that starts four freshman DB's...? Oh the senior
comes in as the nickle back, woo hoooo.

We got some really talented LB's thankfully.

I'm not saying that your points not valid, but depending on where they are kicking from, the ball is struck differently. Longer kicks typically leave the line lower than chip shots. But regardless, for the ref to make that call at that time is horrible. I don't disagree with the rule, but sometimes, the flag needs to be thrown in the spirit of the rule and not the letter of the rule.

Getting the FG blocked was inexcusable but the call was still stupid

Exactly, a stupid rule that takes the fun away from the game. Surprised they just end games in a tie too!

It's not a stupid rule when inforced properly. It's designed to eliminate the taunting and subsequent issues that can arise from that. The enforcement of it in the final 10 seconds of the game when there was no taunting is ridiculous and something I'm sure that official is having to answer to.
