i read the article, but i think from the response of the posters, he seems to be yesterdays news.

what a mismanaged animal,

he prolly wasn't ready to run last year, and they hurt him further.

sounds like steinberger and zito had a difference of opinion.

does zito have any of the bergers other horses or are they done ?

I'll be excited to see what he does, but to be honest the article is vague, where and when..etc.

Steinbrenner is probably as much to blame about the mismanagement as any trainer...like managers he went through what three in a little over a year. And I'm sure he pushed as much as anyone to get him into the Travers.

He's a fast horse, if he stays sound he could do some damage in the Classic division.

Supposedly, it was Edward Sexton's decision to pull B-Road from Zito. He told Steinbrenner that he knows the horse better than anyone and that was why he should train him. I'm not sure why Steinbrenner would listen to nonsense like that, but I guess when we see B-Road on the track, we'll know just how well he's been trained. I like this horse... I've liked him for a long time, but I hope that he wasn't ruined by running him last year when he wasn't ready.

Come on guys - the horse will never race again. The so called allowance race at the end of July isnt going to happen with Calder already having drawn to the 30th and 'Bellamy Road' is not included. Who knows if he's been working "down on the farm" or not, but he shows nothing since July 5 on the DRF worktab.

They run through August...I was taking it as that was the month he was talking about since he said 2/3 more works.

Yes, he still has some. Hemingway's Key is one.

What could Bellamy feasibly pull in stud fees? He had one very impressive win and a gutsy effort in his comeback, but with all of the long delays, injuries, and the lackluster Derby effort...? Would those things affect his fees?
