6 1/2 on the SA turf has to be the most challenging race to handicap. What does it take for a horse to power through the lane with an outside run? I've been betting these kind of horses and getting consistently skunked with 2nds when they just can't pass. The latest example being Swift Winds. Ran his ass off, just couldn't overcome the setup. It's like betting AQU inner.
Medzedeekron, who finished just ahead of Swift Winds last out, with a more inside run, absolutely CRUSHED a field on poly next time he ran.

Good thing FG, with that long stretch, is an option.

I dont play the downhill alot, but when I see a good turf miler on the 6 1/2, I go to the window.

Guess not. At least Gomez won't have to ride this horse in the Derby now

I see Georgie Boy coming out of this race as the new "Great West Coast Derby Hope". The only problem is that I cant bet enough o him to cover my loses today.

That used to be money. Hasn't worked as well recently, however.

GB is a Dual qualifier for the classic distance. He looked like he can get the distance and the way MC Baze waited to move he looks pretty good.

with a big field of inexperienced runners i'm guessing that the quest for position takes the starch out of the front runners, I'm going with 11 on top of 6 9 10 13
