Question No stake @ Gulfstream on Sat.?

The premier east coast track during winter.....and NO stake race?
What gives??? Just proves how much racing at the Gulf has gone downhill since the meet has been expanded.

Looks like a very quiet weekend of racing.

Hey they have to get in all those claiming races. There's mucho demand for them. I mean, why schedule races for all those TURF STARS and newly 3 year olds when you can basically compete with TAMPA BAY. Needless to say, Calder had better racing.

The whole thing is a joke. Card some races.

PREMIER, my ass.

Not only that, it's a holiday, 3 day weekend and they have nothing going on. I used to love to fly to Fla for the MLK Day holiday and the Presidents Day holiday. Gulfstream was always prominent in my plans. Do they not realize that NYer's like to go to Fla for long weekends?

I think they answered that when they built that horrorshow of a racetrack.

Obviously. Nice to have a track in a beautiful tropical paradise with no place to sit outside facing the races.

Well, the West PAlm Polo Club just put in a new grandstand with 2,900 seats. If people want a seat, they can go there. Decent Argentinian food served is a bonus.
