![]() I was over there this past Tuesday and they're doing a ton of renovations to the main enterance. Doesn't look like they can possibly be done in 3 weeks (at least to my uneducated eye). Just a little strange how it sat all summer with nothing going on, and now they seem to start construction work - At any rate, Tampa should see the better horses, even larger fields, and a banner meet as far as attendance/handle. The Sam F. Davis and Tampa Derby have grown into prominence over the past few years - getting excited just thinking about opening weekend

![]() I discovered Tampa Bay Downs in 2005. Absolutely, top choice for playing thoroughbreds in Florida. GP is inept and Crc grinds horses into ground with its overly long season. Also, TBD is hidden gem for turf players -- great fields, outstanding riders, and better-than-expected payoffs.
I look forward to reading more here from Tampa regulars in coming days, weeks and months.

I agree about GP but their turf courses are competitive and bettable but Tampa is a gold mine for players IMO |

![]() Kev, I believe Centeno was injured during the Monmouth meet, and has just started riding again the last couple of weeks at Calder.

Keep your eyes open for entries trained by Cindy Ballou. She broke and trained my 2yo filly, Darlin' by Day, this summer. She worked wonders! She and Buddy brought their string there on Nov 15. PM me a report if you get a chance. GRL! DTS |
