Smile Winner of central should forfeit playoff spot in nl

Its gonna be a shame that either the padres, phillies or rockies don't make the playoffs. The central is a joke. Neither team the cubs or brewers deserve to be in the playoffs. The rockies are on fire and as luck has it they end up at home against the diamondbacks. What a story it would be if they won the west. Meanwhile the phillies have finally caught up with the mets. Its been forever since they have been in first place. Whats more amazing is that they are doing it with a pitching staff that has been decimated by injuries. Being a philly fan its been a wild season. Then their are the padres who lost 2 starters in one game. Yet pull out a 2 out homer in top of ninth at san fran to win the other night. Won last night and keep on fighting. Then we go to the central. Sorry cub fans I don't want to hear anything about its our time! Your up by 3 and lose 3 straight to the fish. Worse yet brewers have chance to close the gap and lose 2 straight! Do baseball fans a favor cubs give up your spot to one of the losers in the other two races. You don't deserve to be in the playoffs! Besides every one knows when you lose, you'll blame it on the curse! Bartman! Please the happiest person in chicago was your shortstop who booted the next play for an easy double play. Also you still had to play game seven! So make baseball proud and forfeit your playoff spot to a team that deserves it!

I was reading the playoff scenarios if all 4 end up tied..They would have to play additional playoff games Mon Tues and Wed just to figure out who gets in!

I am usually out and about the next couple of days but I think it might be Tom Time so I can focus on these games. Yelling at the TV undoubtly has an effect on players a bizillion miles away

I agree neither team deserves to be in the playoffs; I am pulling for the Phils (mets don't deserve the playoffs either) and Rockies (wow what a streak) to make the playoffs.

OK..Time to switch gears..

so..who the hell do we cheer for this weekend..Detroit or..cough, cough...the Bears? A case can be made for either. Who do you think is more dangerous in the long run?

Neither team looks like much of a threat to me this year. It will be interesting to see how Griese is though. If he is terrible, who are they going to blame? The bears have a very subpar running game and possibly one #2 wide receiver in Berrian. I think the lions offense is a definite threat, but they can't stop anybody. We should be able to roll over either, and nothing would make me happier than to see the bears start the season at 1-3 and then go to lambeau to make it 1-4. Go Lions!

Nebrady
Did you forget so quickly about last years central winner that probably "didn't deserve to be in"?
They wound up doing pretty well in the WS

You must root against the Bears. I dont think that it would be kosher to actually root for either team but Detroit is Detroit.

I'll say it again here that already been said by others.

But I'll repeat.

Yeah. It's like a morgue in my Office today. Met fans hanging themselves from every space. Especially after Piniero pitched like a Cy Young candidate last night

Can't be anymore pleasant than the Scrubs fans that come to Busch. God, what a bunch of piss ants they are...

Why is it that most Scrubs fans want their OWN name on the back of a Cubs jersey?!?! It's retarded, and probably about the dumbest thing one can do at a MLB game is to wear a team's jersey with YOUR OWN name on the back of it. It's just a pet peeve of mine, and it's very prevalent in the Scrubs fanbase.

Reminds me of some of the crazy stuff that someTurks write on YOUTUBE.Their whole answer to that Armenian Genocide is mainly that they only killed a half million(not the "absurd 1.5 million" that is reported.) The other part is that the Armenians wanted to start their own country. So,naturally they had to be offed.Sorry to change the subject..It just sounded a lot like them.I mean changing the rules at a moments notice. Actually they just write the laws in a very general way(and that way they can interpret them "as needed" to handle the situation at hand.)
