![]() As reported on MSNBC, Merv has passed on.
"Griffin died of prostate cancer, according to a statement from his the family that was released by Marcia Newberger, spokeswoman for The Griffin Group/Merv Griffin Entertainment." He will be sorely missed in this sport as well as anything else he has been involved in. So long ole' boy.... |

![]() Sad to see him pass away
![]() He was very good for the sport of racing. He was a throwback to the days where the Hollywood entertainment set all used to frequent the tracks, especially DelMar and Santa Anita (Crosby-Hope-Durante-et all). I hope that some of his family keep his racing interests going under his stable name and keep Merv's love for the sport!

![]() Merv brought innovative thought to the table in so many things he did whether it was game shows, horseracing or music. Some folks seem to be just decent people in this world and Merv apeared to be one. May God rest his soul....
