Default TVG Road to the Breeders Cup contest

Well I've moved into 35th place, but will be away for a few weeks soon. My goal was to go out at least in the top 100. Need to hang in one more week.

i'm about 180 pts behind you, but instead of 8 moves left like you, i've got something like 27 or 28 moves left.

you should probably use a few of your remaining moves on horses that will run while you are gone that you also expect to do well as we move towards the bc, and in the bc itself!

the previous 2 contest winners are on here and are in pretty good shape, though i believe i'm in a better position than both of them. i like sightseeks chances better than those 2, as she's got, i think, 3 more moves than i do and is only a few points back of sniper.

who else on here is doing well? or not well!

Thanks. I new I would not be able to work at this every week for the whole contest. I just wanted to be in the top 100 when I went out. Too much to follow and figure for my old mind to do. I do good to follow the 2y olds a little, let alone all the different types of races in the BC. Good luck to you and all on here who give it a go.

Corinthian and Hesanoldsalt got me off to a wonderful start. I still have a lot of moves to go so plenty of time to screw it up further or salvage it. I don't think the people that have no moves left on BC Day are going to have much of a chance. Interesting strategy that many employed to not use a move on a second jockey or trainer. I never thought of that. Will be interesting to see in the end if it was a smart move or not. I really wish they just allowed you to set your initial lineup for free and then you were limited to 28 moves from there. Would have rewarded the people that made good initial picks and put some thought into the racing calendar. I also wish they had added a moves remaining column to the standings. I suggested it to them but apparently they opted not to do it.

yeah, i agree. especially with the part about making it easier to see how many moves are left. it's way too much work to figure it out for the top 500.

I am in 25th place right now with 16 picks left. I will have to choose carefully!

I'm much like my favorite horse, Jazil, a happy little plodder. I'll probably get stuck in the 40's again...but if this contest was two years long, you'd all be screwed.

I would never compare myself to Jazil, but like you, I'm coming from off the pace as well.

Too many people are getting carried away and using up their moves too soon I think.

I'm stuck back in the 400's now (was 122nd last time), but have a ton of moves left.

I am in 85th but I screwed up alot of my picks and only have 14-15 left. I also didnt get home in time to activate Panty Raid so there she sat in reserve as she romped home. And I wasted a trans. on Pussycat Doll,,,,,have no idea what I was thinking there. I saw that some had not added a 2nd trainer or jock. Wish I would have thought about that for the trainer esp. but oh well. I dont know if I like this only having so many transactions. I liked the once month thing better I think.
