Default Destruction of Mighty Gulch courtesy of Mr. Dutrow

Looking at Aqueduct's 6th race yesterday you had the notorious villian Dickie Dutrow up to his old tricks.

Mighty Gulch making his 3rd start in 18 days and the last a break of 5 days left him in the winners circle but a heavy price to pay. Horse was pulled up right after crossing the wire and was all out to walk to the winners circle in one piece.

Seems to me that there might be just a little something wrong with this tatic for the health of the horse. We are clearly in the era of being told that Poly is protecting the animals more than dirt... but heck lets run them down the ladder for 18 days and destroy the animal? Seem wrong? You bet it does. They say Dutrow hits at 40% with the quick turnback... good for him....wish we could put a saddle on his back and run him 3 times in 18 days...

I have no respect for these types of trainers that could care less about the animal and only the $$$ ... but hey we all know he has been a crook for a long time in this game. love how he transforms a 70 beyer claim into a next out 99 time and time again... but thats ok... I think NOT....
