Default Slew's Tizzy

Kinda looks like they are going to skip the Derby.

I am kinda sad, but DEFINATELY watch out for him in the Preakness!

This is keeping the hopes up of Teulfesburg (however you spell that name).

It's pretty amazing you managed to work the two horses with the least chance in the first two legs of the Triple Crown into one post.

Here I had thought you nailed down the " internet post of the day " award.....not easy during Derby time mind you. The question I assumed you were posed was " can anybody manage to work two non-triple crown contenders into one post while pretending not to realize it ".

I like Slew's Tizzy. Don't really care for the other, Teulfesberg.

Tiznow was a late bloomer, and maybe his son will be too.

I never said Sunriver was the next coming... But speaking of TPs horses, High Cotton is running on Friday.

Be nice Dr. Fager. But then again I am the one who told BTW to "BITE ME" maybe I shouldn't be the nice police...

The problem with Slew's Tizzy is that he has been VERY mediocre his entire career and then freaked on the odd polytrack surface at Keeneland. Add that to the way the race was run, as nobody gained an inch of ground with the proven mediocrity Starbase holding his position the whole way, and you have a race with a very questionable result.

The bottom line about the Lexington was that it was a terrible field running on a surface that is providing one unreliable result after another. While anything is possible, and much like Cinderella perhaps overnight Slew's Tizzy turned into a superstar, it is far more likely that sometime before his next race the clock will strike twelve.

I understand what you are saying. I think he has run decent races in the past not mediocre. Yes, his best races were on poly but the race he lost his rider, he was making a nice move. I think he is a big striding horse. LIke I said yesterday it may have just been the poly, but in the back of my mind, I keep thinking maybe he is just figuring out that big stride of his. Yes the Lexington he had everything his own way no traffic trouble, etc... But he ran a decent time and decent fractions. I think IF he figures out how to use that stride through traffic, he may be one to reckon with.

I did also say that I wouldn't bet him in the derby, but if they do skip the derby, I WILL have some $$ on him in the Preakness. He is my wiseguy horse.

I like other horses, just have a soft spot for Tizzy.

Once again, his previous resume was decidely mediocre. Any rational perusal of his pps will point that out.

I'll entertain the possibility. You certainly trumpet the cases of more overmatched horses than anyone else on the board.

Yes, because I admit when I'm wrong, and have fun with it.

As for bannings.....how do I know? I'm not a moderator.

I believe they are all banned.

Difference is, I can admit when I am wrong. I was wrong about Tizzy in the LA Derby. I also do not attack others first except sometimes with a "BITE ME". Like I have said, I have a soft spot for Tizzy. I do like other horses to beat him though. It is kinda like my love for Drifty. Always going to root for the horse, but doesn't mean I will bet him.
