Default Riding in Iceland

I am heading to Iceland in August for a riding vacation. I need to have either all new equipment or any equipment (boots, clothes, etc.) that has been in contact with another horse disinfected and provide a certificate proving same.

Has anyone done this? How expensive is the disinfecting process and does it deteriorate the material?

Any information would be greatly appreciated. I'd rather not go out an buy new gear...

thanks

My friend went a year or two ago and she said they provided all the gear for you. Are you sure they won't do that for you?

They will provide all of the tack but I am responsible for my own gear, boots, riding pants and the like.

Did your friend enjoy the trip? Did he/she have to disinfect the riding boots?

I will ask her tonight and post later. They were talking of planning a trip for the people at my barn that is how I knew she had gone. I will double check with her and get back to you later.
