I like Roman Dynasty, Lewis Michael and Showing Up so far. I'm not big on Kip Deville right now, but will look at the pp's in more detail before the race.

I liked Lewis Michael but Sumitas reminded me that Showing Up was a Strategic Mission. If Showing Up is as good as Strategic Mission he will beat these horses. Strategic Mission was second to Altibr in the Shadwell at Keeneland a few years back. I probably will go with LM, SU, and Pletchers horse.

I called the ieah office and they said he grabbed a quarter in the race and lost a shoe. they said he would not miss any training.they told me he ran a 92 beyer in that race in just his second lifetime start. I may have some fun with this one. I spoke to the market rep at ieah and we talked about many horses they own. He never tried to sell me anything new on the call, I figured that would happen be it I won with my first horse and my first race. They told me they are flying a bunch of guys down to va on there private gulfstream and are expecting a huge performance from Kip Deville

Good luck if you own a piece of that horse. Although if you only own a piece you aren't a real owner. Didn't Oracle let you know that. I own a piece of 2 with West Point and it is a lot of fun waiting for them to hit the track. As for KD, his post is a little tough for me.

don't own KD, I will be rooting for them. They think he will get the clear lead by the turn and there is a long run to the first turn. They are real excited and they were talking about him last week. As far as Holly time, it was a great experience and one I won't forget. I only own 5 percent but they made me feel like I owned the whole horse. We took a picture in the circle without the horse as we were placed first via DQ. Great experience

I root for all the West Point horses too. High Finance let me down a few weeks ago in the Belmont but he will be back. 5% is plenty. When you lay out money it is your horse. That is how I feel about it. Doubt KD gets a clear lead in the race but either way he has a shot. I just am looking elsewhere in this one.

He definitely has a better shot at hitting the board than High Finance did in the Belmont!

He costs me a few bucks, but I still wish I bought a piece of him.

You are with a good group. They are sharp and use the right trainers. They also understand that buying privately is a MUCH better way to go than throwing darts at high priced yearlings. You pay a premium, no doubt, to get one privately but you know what you are getting and can run them back in a month without being bled on bills forever. I wish you the best of luck with Holly Time. Rick usually gives them a month at least before he runs them back. Since he ran on the 18th of June I guess that would probably have him back in a non winners of one other than sometime at the end of July, perhaps at Saratoga!!! Please message me if you are going to come up, be pleased to make your acquaintance.

I think you would love the atmosphere at Steves BBQ stand, quite a few of the cast of characters will be there and you can meet us.

Good luck because I know you have been talking about this horse for a couple weeks. Showing Up is going to smoke that Dutrow horse though. They are all running for second.

I am going to be in the picture in the winners circle if he wins on July 15. So I hope he wins here. I doubt if I have been talking about it since may because I really was more on the Barbaro train. Showing Up is just Lael's best horse now. I am on board though with Man In Havana though for next year.

I will post it here. I have a picture with Barbaro and another with Showing Up. I just have to figure out how to make them electronic files. I used a disposable camera for them but I am buying a digital for my trips up to Saratoga.
