Per Bloodhorse. I read the article as saying only the races mentioned will follow the new rule so it shouldnt effect Funny Cide when he goes north. But a 2nd pair of eyes would be nice. |

![]() Crybaby Canadians who wanna keep the money "in house" in big stakes. They don't like Americans shipping in to get their cash. What a joke. So basically shippers get subjected to more stringent rules and regulations than the hometown horses do. Gee great. How obvious can you be?

![]() Mike your right on with that observation this stinks to high heaven if you asked me alot of tracks gladly accept Canadian shippers when they ship down south because of the weather but maybe some trainers will boycott Canada not because they are cheating but because the rules are now not the same for everyone.

Its a joke really. Trying to blame Frankel/Dutrow for a betting coup last year is ridiculous and beyond all sanity. A purse of that magnitude is what they wanted, any bets they made were nowheer near what they got for winning the race. And by the way its not the responsibility of the trainer to make sure that publications get the works down correctly. To hide works you have to have the clockers or clocker in on it as well. If they wanted to persecute someone they should have gone after the clocker who "missed" the works. The rule up there is funny as well, I don't know teh specifics but unless you are a Canadian citizen or married to one you can't stable there as a trainer. They did this to protect the high purses and keep teh money in house. Its a joke, and a pathetic one at that. |

![]() i dont know how i feel about this rule. i can certainly understand their point of view. however, it does seem a bit sophomoric.
