The other possibility is that it was also late in the turf season and nobody wanted to claim him and either pay the expense to ship him to Florida or wait until the Spring/Summer to run him in the East. Thus, now he would be a better claim. I suppose that is also a possibility.

It's not even remotely off-topic. It's actually an interesting concept/discussion about a racing situation. I'm sorry it got deflected into some personal battle ( I guess if I disagree with someone I'm just being an ******* ).

I shouldn't have joked in response to the Seinfeld reference...and I tend to forget that attempts at humor are often misinterpreted.

You can disagree with me a million times man, matter fact, you probably already do. As always, it is how you do it/say it.

The fact that you disagree with me is shocking anyways because last I remember, you followed Gulfstream and one specific guy (Rivelli) has claimed three horses off of Dutrow in what is almost the same situation, and others have claimed at that 25k level. More importantly and specific to these now two horses, at ARLINGTON, they will be able to compete at the 16k starter and 25-35k open claimers level, which are races they write and fill all the time, and Rivelli, Catalano, Miller, Canani and Stidham claim horses for those specific levels constantly

Nothing about this thread makes sense, Scavs.
Dutrow is looking to steal money. He knows his horse is fast but has issues. He is willing to lose a Graded charge for 15k... Considering how lucky you have to be to have a graded horse evolve,I think the horse while fast, has issues, which Dutrow has been treating. Trainers know Dutrow isnt going to toss an earner to the wind. It is unlikely that anyone will claim the horse. Bob wouldnt claim him I would nt claim him nor would Vol Jack etc. I am not going to be able to out vet dutrow and his team. Dutrow is a sharp horseman I would use him in a country minute if I had the resources for him to be interested!!!!!!!!!!

What I argued with was you saying everyone and their brother, essentially, was going to go in for the horse.

If you had started out by saying one guy, and a guy who has claimed from Dutrow before, would take him, this entire conversation wouldn't have taken place.

Yeah the horse most likely has alot of holes and there aren't too many trainers sharper than Dutrow. I'm sure BTW has seen this a few times before...Dutrow jamming one down their throats during his years following the NY circuit.

Andy, I said three guys, all specific to Arlington. All three aggressive claiming guys.

Listen, I am done and over with this. This got way out of hand and way too serious for how it should have been.

People, including myself, could have actually learned something, instead they saw two grown men bicker

The bickering is because you took it off topic ( and I contributed with my ill-advised joke for sure ) by acting as though disagreeing is personal and suggesting a lot of unnecessary things.

Yes, Scav, you said three Arlington guys. What you don't seem to get is what that implies....and I think you are dead wrong about this. It implies that only these midwest trainers have access to Starter Handicaps and/or understand the value of claiming a horse that is eligible for them.
