Per the DRF, it looks like REVVED UP didn't ship to Santa Anita due to a sore foot. Complicates the turf race a bit if you want to try to beat Lava Man.

Great update. Thank you. This is a very big scratch.

4. BAYOU'S LASSIE, 120, Trujillo, E

I love her. I also have her in my TVG fantasy game, along with Trujillo so it would be a big score for me. I will also be playing her for real, she is a really nice filly. I know I might look dumb afterwards but will be playing agianst Lava Man, if anyone but him wins it should pay ok.

Bayou's Lassie is a nice filly Memorette could challenge her but see it as a 2 horse race

Go Between I think could take down Lava Man especially if he gets beat around that first turn
Only problem with Go Between is level of competition
A ton of early speed in this race

Also love Nightmare Affair, too much early speed and will set up right for this closer

Does anyone believe that if Lava Man has the same form on Turf tomorrow as he had in the Grade 1 Whittingham in June '06 that any one of the other Turf entrants could take him down?

I havent looked at the form Fair Play so I cant anwer that but I do hope Lava Man wins this race (unless I happen to need somebody else for a big score).
I love this horse and still feel he is underrated.

After he won the Sunshine Millions last year people said all sorts of things that he beat nothing, that Flower Alley would crush him when they met, yadda yadda yadda. Fact is this horse would get way more credit if he was east coast based. Turn the tables...If he won only in NY yet when he shipped out of NY he ran bad every time, that would be excused because of the east coast bias and how California tracks are so bad.

Cant wait to see him race.

The rest of the card at Gulfstream looks to have potential. The turf stake on Sunday drew a pretty decent field too. (Go Devil's Preacher!)

Will tomorrow be Most Distinguished's big day?

With Revved Up out, he looks real tough now!
