This is not a tough schedule.
Some of the better teams are senior laden.
3 very bad Pac-10 teams with Nevada, Navy
Michigan in the doldrums, Mich St. should be worse.
Purdue with a new coach....
3 Big east teams who did well this year but a very weak conf.

This is a very nice schedule for the Irish imo.
they can easily be 0-4 heading into the Washington game which should be a win. Nevada is a tough team, at Michigan will be tougher next year, Michigan State is better than ND and though Purdue isnt very good, they are much better at home. USC will be a loss as will BC, WSU is a win and they should beat Navy but they will be underdogs at Pitt and Uconn is probably better right now than ND. who the hell knows what Stanford will do. The schedule is not rough but it is hard to see them doing much better than 7-5 or 8-4 if they can beat one of the Michigan teams.

When you watch them play they just look slow and the lines are not really strong either. Understandably they have higher academic standards and wont go after questionable guys but that has always been the case even when they were a top 10 team.

This is my thoughts exactly. 0-3 would not surprise me to begin the season. You can't overlook Nevada at all. I think they can easily get to 6 wins here, but after that.........
