Nice pick. I wish I had the balls to bet real money on 2yr olds. Still $186 for $20 is better than most exactas.

You have to take those 8-1 Pletcher horses when you can. You don't get value like that very often. The next Pletcher/Dogwood horse won't be nearly that price.

I know I posted that I put the $50 to win on her, but I also had the double to the 8 for $3.00 and the exacta in the last, and $20 win on the 8 in the last.

I am giving Oracle the credit here, thanks a lot man. That will last me for a little while.

some people like to wait until a horse is 1/9
and then pound their chest and say, "I knew it"

that was a good win
Nice of you to share

anything going Saturday?

;-)

No Doubt. I couldn't believe a Pletcher/Velazquez horse (IN A 2YO STAKES RACE!!) went off at 8-1!! Thanks O-Man!! I cashed with a win bet and the grand slam! You da man!

Mike, I could tell in your voice when you called me you were dead serious about this horse winning. I had him singled in the late Pick 3 and Pick 4. I had a small win amount on him, but not enough to make a difference. Pablo Fragaso got me in the 8th. I went 4x1x4 for $32. I had Great Lady K in the 8th that finished 2nd and I also had Edgar in the last. If Lady K wins, I got $4-$5K in front of me....

Thanks for the head up....again, I fail to bet it properly and end up losing money on the day....

Boldruler you are about as useless here as an ice cube maker at the North Pole. Please keep your mouth shut about matters of racing that involve knowledge and stick to talking about some clown who knows soem rich folks, blah blah blah. YOu obviously dont know anything and should be listening and learning instead of talking the embarassing nonsense that you do.

Well that clown you talk about just invested $200,000 in the business. I even have a very well known trainer working for me starting at the Gulfstream meet this winter. I am also buying two broodmares this fall to use on some freebies that I was given. So things aren't going so bad for me. I might not yet have horses of the Saratoga caliber, but they are going to be all MY horses. You know my name. I will be glad to post everything about MY horses here and I am sure you will be able to verify from the name listed as owner in the drf and who I am. Very exciting stuff and I am not about to allow a know it all rain on my parade.

I still say betting a ton on 2yr olds is crazy. You keep giving out 2yr olds and I guarantee by the end of the meet you will be in the negative. For the record, I had the winner. Not too hard to come up with Pletcher/Velasquez in a 2yr old race at Saratoga. You make it sound like you picked something that nobody else figured. I used to always bet Mott/Bailey when there is value and I always bet Pletcher/Velasquez when there is value. Only an idiot wouldn't.

Yeah all 8-1 shots are so very easy, and I didn't just "pick" her. I built a case that with her debuting with the 2nd best sheet number and utilizing the greatest clocker who ever held a watch's info that she was much better than that debut would indicate, and she was an ATM machine.
And good luck with owning. Lemme know if you need any help picking out a grade one winner, judging by my incoming calls the last week, apparently a lot of people would like some help.

My freebies will give me a shot at breeding my own good horse. The guy buying my broodmares for me has multiple grade 1 winners on his farm so I think I am in good shape. In fact his farm has the sire of a really really really recent KD winner and an actual KD and Preakness winner. Unfortunately me freebies aren't with either one of them but they are pretty nice horses. One of them is "great".

Good for you with your grade 1 horse and your business. People like me depend on people like you to help us spend our money.
