![]() I wouldn't call it a great return. He was 3-5. He was all out to beat a 30-1 shot. He sat a perfect trip off of a lighting fast pace. I think his last 2 races have been clear regressions over what he usually runs. He did get the job done today and he was coming off a set back, maybe he will run much better next time out. We will see.

![]() I was a huge Lawyer Ron fan (he was my Derby horse, make fun of me, it's okay)- it's nice to see his son win the same race his daddy did. Because I'm a nerd, I googled and Itsmyluckyday makes for the third father-son winners of the Woodward.

A great return is not necessarily the same thing as a great race. This was a great return and this horse.. man, he just epitomizes the sport. Yeah, I wouldn't call emergency colic surgery a setback either. |
