RIP James...loved all your work...Maverick and Rockford Files, never missed an episode...you will be missed..

Movies of note..
The Notebook 2004, romantic tearjerker..have watched it several times, wifey love it..

Barbarians at the Gate 1993..James Garner has never been better as charming, covetous CEO F. Ross Johnson...great performance by his adversary Jonathan Pryce..

The Great Escape has to be my favorite James Garner movie. He was really good as the scrounger.

Support Your Local Sherriff is one of my favorite comedy westerns, and the Rockford Files role suited him to a tee. And what a driver! In high school my friends and I did our best to emulate what we called his "Rockford turns," which I later discovered are called j-turns.

My Dad: The guy at the tire store says that the steel belts in the front tires are messed up. Any idea why?
Me: (shrugging) I don't know...

I'm going to have to find Grand Prix so I can watch it again. Best racing movie ever.

Great actor, classy guy. Heaven's a lot brighter.
