He was obviously talented and proved it on the track before the injury...

And pedigree wise, he's got everything going for him. He hails to the great Claiborne family and bluehen Lea Lane who is responsible for such standouts as Southern Halo, Leallah, Miswaki, Eternity Star, ect.

The family can produce a top stallion...

Imagine the upgrade his book gets this year?

And deservedly so... you know, at this point, certain parellels to how Storm Cat started off for the same connections. I'll tell you whats even better, most the foals I saw by him looked like they would be better 3yo's. The fact they're doing good at 2 is that much more reassuring about his future and theirs.

It will all just be staving off the inevitable at Overbrook!

he retired due to some serious injuries. he is crossed to Secretariat, which is not a good idea although crossing Secretariat seems to be in vogue now. still, if one avoids any more Secretariats in a mating he holds some appeal.

I his size probably played a factor in it as well. I believe the same thing with most the Unbridled's... big horses who may be fast and talented at 2, doesnt mean they should be rushed just because they "can".

You know, my mare Natalie Beach is inbred to Somethingroyal 5sx3d. I was thinking of crossing her back over for another RF to Maria's Mon to pick up more High Voltage, instead of going for another Somethingroyal.
