In our district a very popular incumbent was unseated because with one week left someone illegally leaked a 911 report to the media. The report was portrayed as making him a wife beater type.
Word has now gotten out that in fact the reason no charges were filed due to the incident was not because of who he was, but because he in fact did absolutely nothing wrong.
The police officer who supposedly leaked the report has already been demoted, and the incident is being investigated.
People around here already feel duped by that leak, and realize that they have been had.
If they held the election today, he'd blow her away.
Thats what the Dems had to resort to in order to win.
I wouldn't wanna be a sitting Dem with any skeletons in my closet in two years. Once you establish just how low, low is, you have to expect the other side to strike back with a vengeance.
