She lasted a long time in a very difficult situation and I don't think it's particularly fair to malign her in any way. And, no, I have no personal stake in this situation whatsoever. |

I saw nothing wrong with Pedersen other than it always seemed like she spotted horses too aggressively; i.e., 30K horses running in AOC 75k's and they're 30-1. Horses sour when they lose and lose and lose. I think this is why the current trainer is winning at a better clip, he seems to be placing the horses more properly. |

![]() Phil, you are a very smart and astute horseplayer, you can't possibly think she was responsible for the insane spotting of their horses.

![]() Want to know how a really great horse can be overrated at the same time? Look no further than Easy Goer. Here is a horse that lost EVERY TIME he faced his biggest career tests. The BC Juvenile was his biggest test as a 2yo and he lost to Is It True. Of course he was better than Is It True but not on that day. Then he was geared up the the Derby where he lost again. Then he was geared up for the BC Classic to determine HOY and he lost again. If u go 0-3 in the three biggest tests of your career, that's not a good thing.
