@osbornejamie: This morning we have decided that Toast (of New York) will not be aimed at The Kentucky Derby."

Just read through Haskin's most recent Derby lost and there is a nugget at the bottom that concerns me: Cali Chrome will not have a workout over the Churchill surface as he will ship in on 4/28.

This was the same approach taken with I'll Have Another. That may allay your fears to an extent.

No one should get points for that race, it is a disgrace if anyone in that field takes a spot away from a deserving runner who does not get in.

Correct. Dance With Fate is a late nominee.

Are the earnings next to the points rankings for unrestricted stakes rather than just graded earnings? How'd the list look if we were wanting the top 20 graded stakes earners? I'm curious about who might've gotten excluded or in with one path to the Derby vs the other.

Appears that Dance With Fate is more likely to bypass Derby than run.. That can change of course, but indications are that Eurton and Co. won't run. Wounded Warrior's Uncle Sigh would be the beneficiary.
