Ill tell you now, no one excites me this year, at all. I pray Candys Boy and Hoppertunity destroy California Chrome next weekend. Those are the only 2 horses I want at all as of now, maybe Bayern if he gets it together in Arkansas.
Wow what a crystal ball you have...where did you purchase such a predictor of the future? Fortune Teller Depot?

I'm not sure things are so unclear....certainly feels a little late but:

If Cali Chrome or Candy Boy wins the SA Derby, they are a deserving favorite in KY b/c they would have a) run fast enough and b) beat strong competition

If Social Inclusion wins the Wood by 5 lengths, he’s the deserving fave because he’s the most talented by far

Now, if neither of these things happen on Saturday, then it’s really wide open but I think they will both happen

It might not just be a plan that backfired. Maybe he really needed that time off. Did he lose weight off the last race? The thing is if he does need time off between races to that degree (and this wasn't just a one time thing where they were trying to get strategic), he's got no business going in the Derby. If you win, you feel bound to go to the Preakness and maybe that's not the best thing for the horse. Aim for things like the Preakness or Haskell.

I'm kinda bummed about Spot's finish. I wanted me some Zito in the Derby, plus the PR for a horse named Spot is kinda great.
I'm right there with you. I thought he was ready to jump up.

I really want to play Uncle Sigh. I think he is at least as good if not better then Samraat and In Trouble. The only colt who is much faster to date in Social Inclusion and I have no clue what to think of him.

Puzzling is correct, seems to be a solid bunch, but I don't see a total stand out.
Which should be pretty good for betting purposes. How about the reaction if
Assmussen completes an Oaks/Derby double?
