Hey ya'll...I'm here. Just returned from VA a couple of hours ago. I had a meeting with a neurosurgeon up there yesterday. Not very good news to say the least. He wants to do surgery on my back ASAP (microdiscectomy). He wasn't really concerned about the pain in my left leg or numbness in my right toes, but he said the extreme lack of strength in my feet and toes gives him cause for great concern. He also said that I will be laid up for a MINIMUM of 1 month and possibly 6 weeks. I am going into work in a few minutes to discuss all of this with my owners. No way I can I miss work in this busy time of the year. I am hoping to convince the doctor to push the surgery back until maybe Nov. of this year. Thanks for the concern, but obviously my life has taken on a completely different set of priorities at the moment. I miss being here talking about the sport we all love.

I'm sorry, Kev. I know that work is important, but your health is way more important... please take care of yourself. *hugs*

As long as there's no numbness in your little GPK, I think you'll be fine, man.

I hope this doesn't mean you're out for VA Derby day?
