Side note/question: I saw that Tap It Rich's dam Golden Treat was 4th in the KY Oaks, but I checked to see who else was in it and realized the 1992 KY Oaks only had 6 fillies in the race. What's up with that?
There was definitely a time when the race did not carry the prestige that it does now, thats my opinion, now it seems like its the definitive three year old race ahead of the Alabama, think it used to be reversed.

The Alabama will always be the race. Get real, it is the Miss America of 3 year old fillies. Like a beauty pageant as they walk onto the track to run 10 furlongs.

I just watched the replay. Except for the start I thought he looked real good.

HRTV just showed Tap It Rich's work this morning fitted in a right extension blinker. Looked great, perhaps the blinker will do the trick!

Still very keen early but settled nicely and then re-engaged down stretch. Encouraging, but afternoons such a different situation.

Agree Steve. What i found interesting was Smith just let the reins go and was on a very long hold. How often do you see that happen in the afternoon? Encouraging though...
