The colt has won not once but twice at 9f's with major speed figs, yet you think 7 furlongs is his best distance. Its not like he ran his race in either the derby or the Travers. Did you ever thinkthat the "program" the colt is on doesnt lend itself to two races in a row or that he just didnt fire in the Travers? When a colt wins 9 panel races with very solid figs and isnt dying at the wire I suggets another furlong is well within his scope...

I'm not ready to give up on him at longer distances either. I'd just like to see one more time at longer. Especially with Pletch willing to still try a mile and a quarter with Cross Traffic. Why not give Verrazano one more go?

But if not, are they saying dirt mile or turf mile with him?
