I just watched it several times. It did seem very blatant and things could have been disastrous.

I would think that NYRA has a chance to send a message to the colony that crap like this won't be tolerated. Giving the leading jock at a premier meet 10-15 days, should raise some eyebrows in the room. 7 days seems like a slap on the wrist for the severity of the foul (You could see on the head on that he tugged on the left rein and shut the door). If he doesn't appeal, the 3 days would be a travesty.

Head on is pretty clear. Lanerie sucks. There was no room in the first place. I dont think it was blatent.

If you can listen to the Migs view of this on ATR..his view seems the most reasonable of Joel's actions. It doesn't seem to be a pattern with Joel - 3 days for him while in the Saratoga leading riders hunt is huge.
