so, who are the real crooks?

one thing that struck me--the article on fox sports asking if the new arena would be built for the red wings. now, i know it's a sports news site-but i think detroit has far bigger fish to fry than a hockey arena...

God help us. The President declared Detroit saved after the gigantic rip-off of taxpayer dollars known as the GM bailout and now bailout is being mentioned again?

51%. a majority...technically, yes. but far from a mass movement. 51% is not enough to justify it, and it would be a huge mistake. i figure the major concern is detroit setting a precedent for cities all over pulling a similar stunt. detroits been on the skids for years. they didn't suddenly lose two thirds of thei population. this is what happens when an administration doesn't change with the times. as the population went down govt. had to shrink as wel, but didn't. they kept their heads in the sand for years, rather than confront reality.

As long as the 51% don't influence the decision to grant a wasted bailout, throwing yet more money away, jimmy crack corn and I don't care, dem or rep.
