He's an absolute goat...I ride him without a saddle...I ride him without a bridle...Today I rode him without either one...I can open the barn door and throw him out on the front lawn and he will just hang out until I ask him to come inside...he's completely safe to put my cousin's kids up on him...Hell he was even safe when Steve rode him! ghe's tall dark and handsome and most importantly he loves me back...

so riders...tell me why you love your horse (or the horse that you ride).

Oh well...
As far as riding mine, they're all crazy at times. I guess their mentality rubs off on me. Oh the bonding!
Really, the one filly will be easy to break (Shot o' Boubon), and the other one, Darlin' by Day, has been named the "problem child" by the barn hands.
Last week they finally got her to make a right hand turn on a lead.
I don't ride the moms when they're in foal, and the weanlings aren't ready yet. They're just getting used to being away from their mom's.
As for the best ride lately, one that was fresh from the track named Silver, was a lot of fun. He was still full of himself, and I got the task of starting him on the way to his new career. I'll just say, we came to an "understanding".
I hope I made him half as tired as he made me.
btw...he did find a new, good home.
And no, I don't ride without.
