Jim, sorry didn't see your question until this morning. I think I like the new platform, I was at my brother-in-laws wedding yesterday and I was able to play and watch from my I-Phone, which was very cool.
But truthfully speaking I really never had a problem with the old platform. I usually don't watch many races on the cpu, I would bet and then watch the races on TVG (on TV).
If the choices were keep the old platform with no rebates/rewards and smart phone capabilities and no fees versus the new platform with all the bells and whistles and fees, I would most definitely vote old. My handle isn't what it used to be (just don't have the time) and I find it very troublesome that I will eventually have to pay fees to wager my money on this game. In this case it actually could be a deal breaker for me.

The fees is definitely a disappointment after having no fees at all.

Default rewards ?

First you have to signup on the website for the rewards on a link its not automatic, takes like 5 seconds. thats the good news. OTOH the rewards are anemic at best, for 2500 points you get $5, so $10k = $20.

Skymall minimum for gift certificate is 25,000 pts

Better than a stick in the eye like the old system of nada, but how about those rebates of 5-10 % that others get in rebate programs.

I don't think there is anyone out there liking the fees. I've gotten to the point of not obsessing about things I have no control over so I am just happy with the upgraded interface. Also being a bit selfish I should easily clear the handle figure to get them free so it is a non issue. I can understand those frustrated.

I like the interface and the fact that I can wager from my phone. However, I won't be using it once the fees kick in. And I'm sure I'm not alone.

The main thing I liked about the old system was the card we could use on track. I didn't need to bring cash with me or worry about vouchers and tickets blowing away. Presumably the mobile site on my phone would be even better (no waiting for a machine), but at $0.25 a pop... forget it. Typical NJ.

Thank you to the New Jersey Racing Commission for all your support and well planned out transition to TVG for all New Jersey horseplayeers.

Thank you for contacting TVG. Unfortunately the new account sign up promotion or wager reward program is not available for New Jersey residents. All promotions must be approved by the NJ racing commission. At this time, promotions and rewards are not approved.

Thanks,
TVG Customer Relations

Benny...Benny...Benny...What is the matter with you? Are you from Jersey....Did you think that you were going to get something out of this. This is NJ, the place where they make you pay for what everyone else gets free and then wants you to fell good about it.

BTW I finally got may letter today notifying me of the change. I have to say how disingenuous they are about this who;e move. No where in the letter doe sit explain they are now imposing a fee for service platform. Even when you look at the FAQ on the website, it states that

How much does it cost to place a bet?

Currently there is no charge to wager through 4NJBets

I guess this is true til 6/1 ......Why can't the just be honest an tell you the truth? they did this to squeeze every last bit of money from the the NJ bettor. But what the hell....if I bet $5000 now get a rebate for $5.00 like I said this is NJ and take anything you can get...however, watch them try to tax you for the reward

Cassie

I have been able to access both w/my iPad, desktop and laptop. I don ' t think it would be a function of Aol . What browser are you using and it may be something in the setting of the browser. Go into the option and see if the settings are different.
