Is Marvin Lewis a much better coach than what he gets credit for?

Speaking of Coach K, something he once said has always stuck with me. He said to never let your success or failure be defined by someone else's expectations. The job of a coach is to use the resources at his disposal to acquire the best possible talent he can, put them in the best position to win by a combination of scheme and inspiration, set realistic expectations, and try to meet and then exceed them. My opinion is that Lewis gets as much out of his situation as anyone should reasonably expect.

The Montana/Coach K analogy is just idiotic. Montana isn't in the ACC but the coach should make his team competitive in his conference or be fired. Has there ever been a coach in the NFL on the same team not win a playoff game for a full decade? Maybe you can present him with a participation trophy.
