Your a nd basher is way I'm saying. I believe you know college football but your one of those people who had sooooo much hate for ND tat you will do whatever and find whatever you can to try to downplay their season. Deep down you know better but you won't admit it.

as for SOS. fla has played a tougher one than any of the three teams ahead of them.

that's this year. that's not what has gotten them all the preferential treatment all these years, and better bowl game bids when others with better records got passed over.
and fla would be 12-0 with the schedule dame had. so would bama, a and m, and a host of others.

let's look at dame's opponents this year.
navy. 7-4 yeah, a real powerhousepurdue 3-5. dame won by 3. michigan state ended at .500 6-6 michigan, got their asses handed to them by 'bama 41-14. lost to dame 13-6. miama (not the hurricanes) ![]() stanford, quality opponent. had to go to ot for that one, no shame for either one. byu. lol squeaked by 17-14. oklahoma-second best opponent faced by dame after stanford. pitt, in ot. pitt. another win by 3. bc. lol they just fired their coach cause they suck wake. sigh usc. 7-5. lost to every ranked team they faced this year. yeah, tough schedule.... /sarcasm after it's all over-how many quality opponents did they face? how many did others, such as fla (who it seems has faced a tougher schedule than many, including dame/georgia) square off against? where are all the opponents ranked now compared to through the season? that's what tells the tale.

All I know is notre dame played 9 bowl eligible teams which will be 10 if Pitt wins this week. Bama has beat 5 and Georgia has beat 4 teams who are bowl eligible. Facts are facts.
Check out this article, it's a good one. You do realize that notre dame has a lot of players who were also given scholarship offers from premiere SEC schools right, this isn't a team with a bunch of low star recruits. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/ncaaf--...205348035.html |

notre dame had to squeak by multiple, weak opponents. did you look at bama's scores this year? they lost to the aggies, ranked-and not going to the poinsettia bowl by the way-but their closest margin was vs lsu-also in the top ten. they beat michigan by a huge margin, what was the notre dame score in that?
i'm looking at everything without a bias either way. unlike some on here, and certainly unlike you. no doubt you're proud they got to the title game, as you should be. enjoy it. but don't make them out to be some world beater who is heads and shoulders the best. they aren't. i'm pulling for the bulldogs in the championship, as i don't want bama in there. if it's bama vs dame, i'd rather nd won it.

Are you people serious? How about this.... Stanford is better then any team Georgia beat. They are right there w/ Florida.

Buffalo? Missouri? Florida Atlantic? Vanderbilt? Tennessee? South Carolina?? O wait, they got blown out 35-7 Kentucky?? Barely Ole miss?? Auburn? Georgia southern?? Georgia tech? Notre dame beat Stanford and Oklahoma, both who could have won every game on that schedule. Florida would have been tough, but not unbeatable. |

With the Dawgs opening at +7 1/2 today I'm not sure what the right play is, but i think it's a good number. UGA is on a peak right now if you look at the last three games (forget GA Southern), because Richt has let the offense play instead of protecting a lead. I believe Sabin has more big game experience, and has the edge, but the Dawgs are better than many think. Would not be surprised to see them squeak by the Gumps and beat the golden boys.

Strength of Schedule isnt something to go against ND with considering Bama had one of the softest SEC schedules ever.
