Nice write up on Shackleford. He proved his mettle taking the G1 Clark in his finale. He's a picture of health and should make a good sire. It was nice to see his older sister (Afleeting Lady) take the G2 Falls City Handicap the day before.
In this era of horse racing, he stands out as being perfectly campaigned by his connections. To call him overrated is just ludicrous. Steve, I remember you liking him going into the Derby off his longshot 2nd in the Florida Derby. Most considered it was a fluke.
