Kudos to the President, Governer Christie, and the mayor of NY, for a job well done so far.
I think it very much premature to give kudos to anyone yet.

The federal and state responses from the 10 governors so far have been without complaint. What is yours?

Just keep believing that Obama, Christie and Bloomberg are doing a fantastic job because they are telling you that they are.

my brother is in hoboken. they got it bad.

he says the whole town smells like crap, literally, and there are dangerous downed powerlines. He walked 20 minutes to the ferry today to get into Manhattan for work... said manhattan is a ghost town.

Pretty outstanding response. You and Hooves can keep dissing it, and politicizing it with your typical targets of dislike and pettiness, but that seems pretty wrong and unfair. You guys go ahead and bitch and moan without me. It's completely absurd. I'll wait until tomorrow, when you two are angry that the subways are not drained and all the power isn't back on yet. Good grief.

Perhaps if the Gov and company had done their jobs properly it wouldnt be such a shock that a town ON THE WATER MIGHT FLOOD!!!!!

I didnt dismiss anything just pointed out that it was a little too early to be handing out plaudits to the 3 politicians named.

whatever

so far they've been doing everything they can. Unless Christie bends over and starts chugging water.

The responses have been good.

They have been doing everything they can? You know this how? Perhaps this is true but you dont know anymore than what you are being told.

Christie is a very good politician. He started campaining for President as the Hurricane hit. Obama couldnt wait to get here for the photo op. Bloomburg is running a marathon on Sunday while hundreds of thousands in his city are without power and food.

The idea that they should get any credit is way premature as things can get very dicey especially since it is getting cold at night and there are a few million people w/o power.

what more would you like them to do.

its not like you can snap your fingers and have the whole mess fixed. the national guard is doing what they can, the funds were appropriated almost immediately.

come on now. a LOT more deaths could have occurred here. I mean, look at this devistation. a lot more.

So what do they deserve praise for? I mean what else would you expect them to do or say? I know people in N. NJ who have no power, roads, nothing is open, they have no food and they have yet to see a single official vehicle or person in an official capacity. Praising those three now is like saying the starting pitcher had a great game after the 1st inning.

Well, no, you assume wrongly. I'm judging by comments from people affected on Twitter and Facebook. Social media gets you right to the sources more quickly.

This is a huge tragedy/disaster, and yeah, so far so good. Proud of Christie and the other govs for being proactive. Nobody is saying there are not people without water, food, etc.today - but they are just wrapping up search and rescue.

You keep on reading social media while forgetting that many of the severely affected people didnt have access to social media because they had no power and the phone service in many places is terrible for assorted reasons.

What would the Govs do otherwise? Ignore the storm that they knew was coming for 5 days?
