apparently the low deductible plans that you can pick from (but not him) are considered cadillac plans, which apparently is great for the insured and terrible for the company.
i guess my company decided the tax for cadillac plans outweighs offering their employers the best insurance plans. which considering we have thousands of employees.. it makes sense.

my husband likes the idea of low, low deductibles. i'm the opposite-especially considering that we never (knock on wood) come close to hitting a deductible limit in a calendar year. so why pay a high premium for a low, low deductible?
so, i suggested the highest ded. plan. you should have seen his face. lol i showed him the math, but he doesn't look at total numbers like i do. he says 'if i pay for ins,i shouldn't have to pay a high ded. too).
so we split the difference, and went with the middle deductible. save me about $150/160 a month.
