To call that win in hand is nuts.
He was scrubbed and ridden harder than hell on the turn and in the lane until the 16th pole, only at that point did the other horse finally submit and it was only very late that he was "taken in hand".
My impression is that maybe he ran him back a tad quick after his comeback race and that he may have regressed and won the race on ability and heart.
I'd expect his next effort to be better, and it damn well better be if hes gonna step up and take on real horses.
I hope hes patiently handled and becomes one of the great ambassadors for the sport that geldings have become. It seems as if only the geldings race on into their older years anymore and I hope SNS becomes of those kind of horses.
