American voters are notoriously lazy and ill-informed. Package those numbers with the 5 million legally registered citizen voters that will be purposely disenfranchised, and few have room to complain about what's happening in this country.

As a delegate to the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia, a woman approached Benjamin Franklin and reportedly asked, “Mr. Franklin, what have you designed for us in there?” Franklin retorted, “A republic madam…if you can keep it.”

Voters have 100% responsibility for the government they get.
