Default Anyone playing Glorious Goodwood?

Day 1 is tomorrow and I keep looking at King's Gambit in the 1st at 25/1. Either very smart or completely foolish and probably the latter.

Not that it matters much but I suppose it's just fine that Jamie Spencer once again has the mount (... and somewhere in Turkey Powerscourt winced).

Favorite horse of the day is Mac Love (shut up I had to get that out of my system). He will be nowhere, not playing him but I have to acknowledge the old guy just because.

Girolamo, the German raider, is no lock and I'm liking Noble Mission in the 2nd race, the Gordon Stakes.

Stuck between Lyric Ace and Bungle Inthejungle in for the Molecomb and thinking maybe Colour Guard to beat Jacob Cats in the 16:50.

Pondering the rest.

Anyone have thoughts?

SO happy not to see Excelebration is not running against Frankel on Wednesday.

So convenient having to stay up half the night to put in plays.

Incase I'm not around I wanted to throw a name out there for Wednesday...

In the Veuve Clicquot Mr. Channon has a very nice runner, Chilworth Icon. The m/l is 20/1 but I'd imagine it might go higher.

Anyway, just sayin.

Good luck if you're playing.

Oh yeah and congrats to Dave Ord for his speed and stamina.

Always a fun read.

Quite pleased with that - personal best time to the car park and back - the place is looking magnificent.

First winner of the day. I've left my phone in the car. Updates will resume shortly...

Mah winners.

Bungle Inthejungle at 17/1!

Glad I stayed up. Thing I'll do something with The Thrll is Gone and then leave it at that.

edit - Thrilled for Mac Love and connextions. The old man was 3rd.

Looking ahead to the Nassau (and yes I do realize I'm all alone here)...

I'm a fan of The Fugue, Clinical looks good as well as the probable favorite Izzi Top BUT the one Im interested in is the girl with the biggest odds, Timepiece.

66/1? Hello? Have we all lost our minds?

Not the greatest G1 but still, a nice win.

Sorry for the late reply! I do love Goodwood every year, but it's coming second this week to the Olympics. Bad timing. But I'll definitely watch the Sussex and the Nassau.

FOUR horses in the Sussex?! Surely the money for coming 5th is worth entering for...

I almost feel bad taking free money like that.

Thank you, Ortensia.

Whoa! That's incredible!

Terrific win by The Fugue. I went with Was - loved her Oaks win. She ran a nice race too, but the winner was too good.
