That was more than likely his wife.

Good to hear he seemed okay as he is one of the real good guys around these parts, but he is very private and I haven't heard of many that have had chance encounters like bt. He has the Pediatric Cancer Center at the All Childrens Hospital named after him as he and his foundation donated something like $3 million. He keeps his nose clean and keeps his family out of the lime light. You can't ask much more from an athlete these days.

Dave and I were off to buy pops and he walked by and I sort of did a double take, and was like “dave, I know this guy… I know him from somewhere”. Line was long enough where I told dave I was gonna go birddog him, so.. I speed walked (awesome visual) and got in front of him just enough to see who it was. He was walking back as we were sitting in line and I said “vinny, can I get a pic?”. Really nice guy, he said sure no problem, as nobody else within 40 yards knew who he was, so it wasn’t a big deal anyways. Asked where I was from, and told him I was a die hard caps fan which he kind of chuckled at. And then, the man taking the picture yells out “hey I’m a lightning fan” mere seconds after I announce I’m a caps fan. Keep in mind, the guy taking the pic in real life Is a diehard bruins fan. Overall he was a really nice guy, I thought he might have been a prick, but far from, and he was speaking French to some dime piece as well……
2nd part of your comments Bigs. If you had a $2 show ticket on a 1-9 shot, would you announce it to all within ear shot? I would hope not, b/c it’s embarrassing, like the TVG hat Matt was rocking all day.
In his defense and mine, it’s the only thing I “won” all weekend, and by “won” I mean I’m getting 5 emails a day from them for signing up, fml.

Nice avi, the question of the weekend was "have you ever seen anyone use the mouthwash in a place like this?"

How about the faux homeless guy who paid to get into the Belmont so he could panhandle.

Just noticed BT sporting the 2007 US Open lanyard from Oakmont. Nice touch.

How could you forget about the syndicate pick 4 ticket?
