i would have liked to see a horse win the triple crown, just because i'm curious what would happen after.

It's perfect. Think of how awful things have been in New York. Quite frankly they deserved it. Now they'll be forced to fire people.

Agree.
Shitty. I was against him tomorrow, but if he would have won.... It would have been OK. Really crappy.
Still a really good card, and for the people who thought he could not get beat its a better betting race. I almost feel like I can go back to hating Union Rags.

The one good thing to come out of it, I suppose. Eff it, I say let the gate workers strike then. I'm not sure I even want to watch racing tomorrow now.

Well at least Doug will have a few weeks to relax and plan his strategy for next year. Hopefully he'll have the hipster-laden beard to represent SoCal vapidness.

Absolutely terrible news, they did such a great job with this horse and damn well deserved a shot at history! Really sad for Doug and the connections, and for racing as well.

not to sound like a conspiracy theorist but i think there is a chance that people knew about this well before it was leaked to the media...this whole experience has been obviously very fun for oneil and wouldnt be surprised at all if he milked it for an extra day or two...obviously nyra has a rooting interest in the milking also to improve attendance, handle, etc etc

not saying it happened but i could see it happening for sure

well, they blew that then, didn't they?! they should have waited til post time to scratch, that way attendance wouldn't be affected.
